You may be going through something incredibly hard right now. It just doesn’t make sense, how could the Lord do something like this to me? Although this may sound crazy, that incredibly hard thing you're going through is part of God’s plan. In Jeremiah 29:11, it says: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Christ plan for you is a plan of hope not evil. So even if your life may seem terrible right now, there is hope for the future.
His plan is greater than this small setback in your life. In the grand scheme of entirety, this tiny moment is a small speck. It may seem hard right now, but think of the joy that's coming! Not everyone single moment will be all sunshine and rainbows: "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first” John 15:18. You WILL have trails in life but, that's ok. One of my favorite verses is Colossians 3:2 : “Think only about things in Heaven, not on Earth.” Heaven is going to be so amazing and for now you have the great Lord to lean on. He WILL give you peace and strength.
You may not like God’s plan but, there is nothing you can do about it. His plan always prevails: “Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.” Proverbs 19:21.
But we need these trials and twists and turns. If we didn't ever have conflict we would never need God. This trial is part of your spiritual growth. Just think how you’ll be telling people about this in your testimony in a few years!
Think of ALL the good that can come out of this. You may not see it now, but, there is light. Think: If children's deaths, hurricanes and divorce can all lead to good ( and maybe one of these examples is your trial!) then so can this. Maybe you won’t ever see it directly but, someone else will. God can use your trials to help others and to spread the gospel. As crazy as that sounds being applied to your situation, it’s true. And isn’t that just the most amazing feeling and greatest joy knowing that your trial is bringing joy? And that you are doing God’s great work and spreading the gospel?
So remember to stay strong and keep the faith. God’s got a great, great plan.
